Dried figs: are sweet and can be used as a healthy substitute for candy. The fig is healthy because of the high content of fiber, potassium, calcium, manganese and vitamin B6. They contain a huge amount of fiber and works well for the meat lacing in general.

When you dried figs soaked in water and grinds to a smooth paste, you can use them into cakes as a sugar substitute. It is also an excellent fruit to mix the salad!

Homemade onion soup: water, onion, white wine, tomato paste, sunflower oil, salt, red wine powder, garlic, tomatoes, bouillon and over it grated cheese.

Pretty easy to make and delicious as an appetizer! Even the Romans used to eat onion soup!

Veluwse Bron

Wednesday I went to the wellness resort ‘’Veluwse Bron’’ with my mother.

They have a tropical beach where you can have a summer holiday feeling the whole year! Really nice experience!

It is located on a lake where you can swim as well, they have 500 beds so there is enough placet o relax;)!

They have 36 different saunas and baths.

One day here feels like you had a vacation for a whole weekJ

I’ve been to different wellness resorts in Holland but this is my number one now!

We did an Hamam treatment:

That begins with a steam bath. Then you get a ritual scrub with a special scrub glove side. After poured onto hot water followed by a massage with a traditional Hamam soap bag. The special olives soap, which sits in the soap bag, gives in combination with water and a large amount of air bubbles off. The tellak (Hamam masseur) squeezes the soap bag body from above, resulting in a nebulization of soap. A blanket of soap covered your body and this soap the tellak your body completely with the hands. Through a massage gets your body into a deep relaxation. After the treatment we received Turkish tea and a piece of Turkish fruit.

Biologic Markt Wassenaar

This week I went to the biologic market in Wassenaar, The Netherlands.

I love it to walk around on those markets with fresh frood and products!

I miss it when I’m not in Holland.

They have for example: organic vegetables, delicious Mediterranean products, sausages Brandt and Levie, organic Pie’s, farmhouse cheese, Italian olive oil, dried Spanish ham, homemade jams from the garden, delicious fresh bread from the organic bakery, wood-grilled chicken, homemade cake, handcrafted ceramics, live music and many more!
